raham Keeley is a freelance print journalist based in Madrid, where he has lived and worked for two decades. He covers Spain, Portugal and Latin America for leading UK and international media, reporting on politics, crime, social issues, culture, the environment and sometimes sport.
His work regularly appears in major British and international outlets including The Times, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, The i Paper, Reuters, Al Jazeera, Euronews, and the Economist Intelligence Unit.
Graham has reported extensively on some of Spain’s most pressing and complex issues, from organised crime on the Costa del Sol, political tensions in Catalonia, and the rise of the far right, to mass tourism, housing shortages, environmental threats and the country’s struggle to confront its Franco-era past. His journalism combines in-depth reporting, strong narrative and a deep understanding of Spain’s social and political landscape.
He has covered major breaking news events, long-form investigations and human-interest stories, including drug trafficking networks using helicopters to move narcotics from Morocco, teenage contract killers, anti-tourism protests, the rewilding of the Iberian lynx, fishermen fighting to save rare coral ecosystems, and the exhumation of mass graves from the Spanish Civil War.
Alongside his journalistic work, Graham provides media training for universities and business schools, including IESE Business School, and undertakes copywriting, corporate reporting and due diligence projects for international clients.
